Feminine Care Packages
Herizon delivers feminine care packages to women’s shelters across the world to combat period poverty and ensure that everyone has access to proper menstrual hygiene.
What is a feminine care package?
A feminine care package includes essential items that support women in managing their menstrual health.
But it doesn’t stop there — many women’s shelters also care for young children and are in urgent need of diapers and baby supplies. Your support can make a real difference for both mothers and their children.
What should a feminine care package contain:
- Pads
- Tampons
- Diapers (reusable ones too!)
- Feminine wipes
- Hand Sanitizer (sprays, wipes, in a bottle, etc.)
- a kind note!
Optional:
- hand cream
- hair brush
- lip balm
- journal
What a feminine care package should NOT contain:
- Food or perishable items
- Used items
- Perfumes
- Names of specific individuals (e.g., avoid labeling items with names like "Lucy")
- Medication of any kind
- Pain relievers (e.g., Tylenol, Advil, etc.)
- Personal statements built around a controversial opinion
Rules and Guidelines
Before you make your own feminine care package, please read everything on this page! If your package is being shipped overseas, please go over the following:
- Label externally: “Charitable Donation : Feminine Hygiene Products – No Commercial Value.”
- Use durable packaging (transparent boxes or sealable bags are preferred!)
Decorations!
Feel free to add your own touches! Decorate your packages with illustrations and art. Do not include anything controversial or offensive.
