How does the card exchange work?

Please read our step-by-step guide to understand how our international card exchange works. We expect all participants to use appropriate language and treat others with respect.

1. Sign up

- please let us know whether you are sending a digital card or a photo of a hand-written card.

2. Matching

- Herizon will match participants across borders, prioritizing cultural diversity and language diversity

- Through the sign-up form, participants can choose between one-time exchanges or monthly pen-pal style matches

3. Theme-based prompts

Writers are encouraged to draw inspiration from the themed prompts, but they are welcome to explore any topic they choose.

Our prompts:

What’s an experience that made you into a stronger person?

What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone going through difficult times?

What are your hobbies and why do you enjoy doing them?

4. Send the cards

- Participants either send a photo of a hand-written card, art, etc.) or a digital copy (google doc, Canva, or PDF)

- All writers can expect a response from Herizon within 1-2 weeks.
